Recent legislation: House Resolution 2749 or The Food Safety Enhancement Act of 2009, and current legislation: Senate Bill 510, The Food Safety Modernization Act of 2010 are the U.S. governments latest attempts to increase food safety and cut down on food borne illness in our country.

Some claim that better inspection and regulation will increase safety. Others say that over-regulation and increased red tape and paperwork will drive small farms out of business.

We ask you the public: Where do you stand? What is our acceptable level of risk to continue having the safest, most abundant and most inexpensive food supply in the world?
